 School Business Manager

Hours: 7am – 5pm daily
Term-Time only: Paid @ FTE 1.0
Salary: MG1 (£53,109 - £60,414)

Norbury School would like to appoint an outstanding School Business Manager to work with our vibrant teams, in an award-winning Rights Respecting School. Norbury is a Safeguarding Learning Hub and Safeguarding is integral to all who work at Norbury.

In our last OFSTED March 2023 the school was described as:

“Norbury School is a happy and vibrant learning community. Staff and pupils are committed to an ethos of care, respect and inclusion.”

The successful candidate will work alongside the current School Manager for a handover period; taking full responsibility for budgeting and contracts for the next financial year 2025-26.

We are looking for:
• A dynamic proactive individual with proven ability of financial, personnel and premises management.
• A school business management qualification; ILM Diploma Level 4 or Level 5 or relevant workplace experience, and a willingness to undertake training for this qualification.
• Knowledge and experience of FMS, or alternative school finance databases such as Dataplan.
• Working knowledge of Arbor.
• Extensive experience in all areas of Microsoft Office.
• The ability to lead and manage a team.
• Experience of working in a busy school or other similar environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with both children and adults.
• The ability to organise your work under pressure and reach deadlines.
• A commitment to the School’s Equal Opportunity Policy.
• A commitment to the Schools Safeguarding Policy and procedures.

Norbury School would like to appoint an outstanding Catering Assistant to work in the kitchen.

We are looking for:
• People who love working and engaging with pupils
• An enthusiasm to engage with the children following the UNICEF Rights of the Child
• The ability to organise your work and use your own initiative
• The ability to work as part of a team and to want to be the best at what you do
• A willingness to undertake Food Hygiene Training for working in the kitchen.
• Experience of working in a commercial or school kitchen.
• A willingness to be part of the Norbury Team, which means Be Inspired and Inspire!

Learning Support Assistant

£19,953 (Payscale G2)
8:30am – 3:45pm Daily
Term-time Only

We are seeking an outstanding, ambitious and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant, with experience in supporting children with complex learning needs, to work with SEND children in our school. An LSA at Norbury will support, nurture, extend and narrow gaps of learning across year groups.

To be considered you must have:
· GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths (Grade C / Level 5)
· Evidence of widening your own learning, e.g degree qualification, online courses, training or equivalent
· A minimum of 6 months recent, relevant and continuous experience within a Primary School setting.
· Experience or knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and of working with SEND children.
· Experience and knowledge of the primary curriculum.
· Ability to inspire and be inspired.
